Sadly, the death and destruction in Iraq continues two years after the U.S. ended its 8 1/2 year war there. http://original.antiwar.com/updates/2013/12/13/46-killed-56-wounded-across-iraq-as-iranian-gas-workers-massacred/
Although the U.S. news media gives Iraq little coverage and this war is largely forgotten by the U.S. population other than its military, and the military families that paid a severe price there, the war goes on with no end in sight.
I have no idea why the nations in President George W. Bush's "Coalition of the Willing" would ever have participated in this farce, sacrificing their soldiers in the process.
The Iraqi men, women and children are brethren to all of us and what has happened and is happening there is a tragedy that we can hold in our hearts and in our prayers, with the hope it will end and allow the Iraqi people to build far better lives for themselves.
There is no good reason in the 21st Century that this tragedy should have happened. We as spiritual beings knew better and yet we allowed this madness to be unleashed, just as it is still happening in Afghanistan.
Your voice matters. Please raise it for reason and compassion.
