Technologically mankind has grown dramatically, especially in the last ten years. But in terms of sincerely seeking peace the progress of humankind is dismal.
The combination of fear, greed and ego leads us into continuous wars, poverty and suffering. Yet the answer to those horrific ills has been with us throughout time: "Thou shalt not kill" and "Do unto others as you would have done unto you."
What can you and I do to help bring peace to the world?
We can conduct ourselves peacefully, lovingly and with compassion and we can forgive others of the wrongs they commit against us. We can also love our families and we can make charitable donations to help people in need.
If you and I will just do these simple straight forward things, we will send a ripple of kindness and generosity that will eventually travel across the globe and uplift everyone that ripple touches.
