As men, women and children are blown to bits in the latest spasm of global bloodshed, there is a beacon of hope.
That beacon is spiritual for those who commit these atrocities cannot cleanse the blood from their very being. And in their ruthlessness they show themselves not as great leaders but as cruel tyrants that bring pain and suffering where it need not exist.
In the shadow of darkness they cast, mankind seeks the light, one of compassion, forgiveness and love. There isn't a mother anywhere that doesn't grieve in the loss other mothers feel nor fathers that cannot sense the agony that all this senseless violence has unleashed.
We all know there is a better way and ever more of us are determined to live it.
