The consequences of the Iraq War the U.S. launched in March, 2003 continue to grow as in May alone, 2,249 Iraqi men, women and children were killed and 1,953 more were injured.http://news.antiwar.com/2014/06/01/2249-killed-in-iraq-in-may-as-violence-continues-to-rise/
But as happens in war, the dead and wounded are forgotten as are the supposed noble reasons for the war. No one ever takes responsibility and the heartache and loss people bear is ignored except by those who must bear it.
What can you and I do? We can learn from the U.S. Government manipulation that led to this war and the American hysteria that was so much a part of it.
As a matter of conscience we can also keep the Iraqi people in our hearts, in our prayers and in our charitable donations.
For they as humanity are a part of us and we are a part of them and in the end we as people are all brethren in our journey through this life.
