As Iraq descends further into the Hell of war, there are calls to escalate the conflict, calls uttered primarily by people far from that Hell.
But in all the noise, we don't hear the voices of the Iraqi people, the men, women and children who pay with their lives and the loss of their loved ones.
Are we as mankind so callous that their voices mean nothing to us? Are we so deaf that we ignore the voices of all the mothers who would end the fighting on behalf of those they have given birth to and in the name of love for their families?
What can we do? We can call upon the news media to tell their stories and share their voices with us. If this happens, the support for war will largely disappear, replaced by a dialogue for peace for we are all fundamentally the same and we are all taking this journey of life together.
